I gave this longleaf to my father years ago, when it was just a tuft! Starting to shoot up more now that its taproot has been established.
I like this style of stitching, which binds each coil to the thread below it instead of stitching through the coils themselves.
I love this little green one — just a bright spot.
I made the center for this –looks like grass, and so do the green needles.
I love contrast – when it works!
This classic coiling technique is essentially utilitarian but I always love the meditative value of it.
